You need to contact your friend first of all and ask what they did and troubleshoot for a solution. Is it running in safe mode? Sounds like your computer is not allowing input or output, and hopefully its a security restriction that can be resolved. Have you checked your Computer info under security settings, firewall settings, peripheral devices? Ask your friend. Do you do regular backups? If so, you can go to your last backup. It will have your configurations prior to the MS Office download. Does your friend have the software copy? It may need to be reloaded bc it might be removed if you revert to an earlier configuration. FYI, there is openware software that is very similar to Office, is safe and free to download. Go to www.openoffice.org and take a look. A good source of free computer info by professionals dedicating their time, go to www.computerhope.com or org, I forget offhand.. They have an online forum with people who can help you if you can't reach friend and.or forr future reference. They created the site to offer support on all platforms, including hardware, software, programming, troubleshooting, you name it! Very cool!
