Will Apple do the student discount sale this year?

I remember last year about this time Apple did a sale where if you were a student you got a discount on mac's and a free ipod touch with your purchase. I wanted to take advantage of it this year but I need to know when that will commence. This rep at the apple store said they should be doing it again but I can't remember what else he said about it (that was back in October when I asked him)
