Can i put a setup file onto CD-R disk?

I have a lexmark 6200 series printer and i don't have a driver for it. nor do i have internet. I have it for Microsoft word only. I'm on my friends laptop and i found the driver from download.com Can i put that file onto a CD-R disk and install it on my computer?
