Anxiety and abnormal ekg?

I seen my family doctor two weeks ago complaining about palpitations and anxiety. He did an ekg and it came back abnormal with st-t wave changes. My blood pressure was slightly elevated so he put me on 5 mg of blood pressure meds which have helped my palpitations a lot. He also gave me anxiety meds for at night because i haven't been sleeping. Blood work came back perfect. Doctor said. I am scheduled to a have stress test next monday. Doctor said if it comes back normal. It's all anxiety. I was curious if anyone has experienced something similar. I am scared something is really wrong with my heart but i do suffer from severe anxiety. He also diagnosed me with situational depression.
