How do I get comfy in a long leg cast?

Im going to be in a cast for 2 to 3 months I've already been back to the doctor once to have the cast redone because I was having so much pain in my heel that it was unbearable. They redid the cast with more padding and its better now but Im still having pain. What should I do? Im on pain killers every 4 hours and I'm keeping it elevated and iced always.
